Things to do at Lincoln Downs Batemans Bay

It can be easy for Batemans Bay residents to take for granted how inextricably linked they are to water and what it means to them. It means sailing, fishing, swimming, surfing, snorkelling, paddling,cruising, kayaking, body boarding, gazing at rock pools and even beach cricket.

The Clyde River runs throught the heart of Batemans Bay and is popular with estuary fishers chasing bream and flathead, while offshore there’sexcellent reef and game fishing.

Batemans Bay is also home to the famous Clyde River oyster. Seafood features prominently on the menu of the many local waterside restaurants. For golfers, Batemans Bay offers a 27-hole championship golf course.

The associated club, along with other pubs and clubs in town, welcome visitorsand many offer regular live entertainment. Batemans Bay offers families lots to do in the great outdoors, there’s minigolf, an animal park (where you can cuddle a wombat or a snake!), tennis,museums and galleries, and come summertime a carnival with amusements galore.

One of the most fascinating attractions of the region is the famous Mogo Zoo, specializing in endangered and exotic species. The zoo houses white lions, snow leopards, reptiles, meerkats and a whole host of other wildlife that is sure to be an unforgettable day.
